Living benefits

Your Policy Can Help While You're Still Living.

Life insurance isn't only for the people you leave behind. If a qualifying illness ever changes your plans, an Indexed Universal Life policy may give you access to a portion of your benefit when you need it — potential access to up to $750,000 for a qualifying event, subject to policy terms. Any benefits received generally reduce the remaining death benefit available to beneficiaries.

  • Critical illness

A qualifying event such as a major heart attack, stroke, cancer, or major organ transplant may trigger access to a portion of your benefit — money you may use for any purpose.

  • Chronic illness & long-term care

If you're no longer able to perform the everyday activities of daily living, your policy may help cover care — so a long-term care need doesn't have to drain your other assets.

  • Terminal illness

With a qualifying terminal diagnosis, you may be able to access a larger portion of your benefit and decide for yourself how it's used.

Why an IUL

Three Ways an IUL Can Strengthen Your Retirement.

An Indexed Universal Life policy is built to do more than one job — protect the people you love, and work for you while you're living.

  • Potential for tax-advantaged income

Cash value may be accessible through policy loans or withdrawals to help supplement Social Security and your other savings, subject to the contract terms. Withdrawals may have tax implications, tax laws may change, and no specific tax outcome is guaranteed.

  • A floor against
    market loss

Many IUL policies include a floor that limits how much index performance can reduce credited interest. Fees and charges still apply, and no growth is guaranteed.

  • Clarity on your
    401(k)

A 401(k) cannot be directly rolled into an Indexed Universal Life insurance policy. Your age, employment status, retirement goals, plan rules, and financial circumstances all influence your available options.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of professional is Troy?

Troy is a licensed, LUTCF-credentialed insurance professional — a fact-finder who deals in assets, not a salesperson chasing a quota. His role is to help you understand whether an Indexed Universal Life strategy fits your goals, working alongside attorneys and CPAs so you get an unbiased, complete picture.

Will you promise me a specific rate of return?

No. No specific rate of return, growth, income or savings amount is guaranteed, and anyone promising you one is worth walking away from. What a contract does guarantee is written in the contract, and reading that with you is part of the job.

How long is the consultation, and is there any cost?

Complimentary 10–15 minute consultation. No pressure, no obligation. It is a conversation about what you are trying to protect, not a presentation.

This is not an offer to enter into an agreement. Information and programs are subject to change without notice. Indexed Universal Life insurance is not a bank product and is not FDIC insured; it involves fees and charges, and access to living benefits requires a qualifying event and is subject to policy terms. No specific rate of return, growth, or savings amount is guaranteed. Not every applicant will qualify. Product availability and eligibility vary by state, carrier, policy terms, and individual circumstances.
